New Jersey Southern Shore beaches

    The Avalon, cooler by the mile beach is only 3 miles from Ponderosa Campground.  The Family beach offers free parking, bathrooms, playground and a small boardwalk with arcades, shopping and casual dining.  There is a daily, weekly beach pass required for 12years old and up.  Beach Tags are required from Memorial Day to Labor Day and can be purchase at the beach.

    The Stone Harbor beach is just south of Avalon beach.  There Family beach has bathrooms, metered parking.  The Stone Harbor Point is known for surfing and catamarans.  There is a daily, weekly beach pass required for 12year and up.  Beach Tags are required from Memorial Day to Labor Day and can be purchased at the beach. 

    The Wildwood Beaches, North Wildwood, Wildwood, Wildwood Crest, family beaches are FREE.  Parking is metered or pay a daily fee.  The long boardwalk that runs along the Wildwood beaches offers bathroom, casual dining, water parks, and amusement rides. Ponderosa Campground is only 10 minutes from the Wildwoods. The Wildwoods are south of Avalon, and Stone Harbor beaches.

    Atlantic City beach is north of Ocean city.  The Atlantic City beach has a boardwalk that runs along the beach with casinos, bathrooms, fine and casual dining and the Steel Pier amusement park.  Atlantic City beaches are FREE.  Parking is pay. 

    Lifeguards protect most ocean beaches during the busy summer season. Ponderosa Campground location is so close to all these beaches, so grab the essentials, sun screen, chairs, towels, books , snacks and hit the beach.  Camping at the South Jersey Shore, you will leave with sand in your shoes and memories that will last a lifetime.
