Every care is taken to make sure your sites and cabins are clean. Our quiet hours are enforced to accommodate you with a peaceful rest, while you are with us. We take extra steps to offer small touches that we are sure you will enjoy. This includes fresh flowers on every cabin porch. To the quaint seashore themed decorations in our bathhouses.

    The Ponderosa Campground is proud to introduce our New 1600 sq. ft. Heated pool. The pool has a zero depth entry into the pool. Water jets and fountains will entertain your children. Our pool is both child and adult friendly. All thought was put into designing a pool that is comfortable for everyone. There is a deep section for the adults and a child friendly side from 6 inches to 3 feet deep. Multiple water pumps, filters and chlorinators ensure the pool is water is clean, safe and refreshing.

    Ponderosa Campground offers two playgrounds.  The pirate ship located by the pool allows imaginations of being a pirate come alive.  The half court basketball and swing set are fun for all ages.

Ponderosa Campground offers the finest family camping in the Jersey shore. You and your family will enjoy a beautiful wooded, seashore vacation setting. Ponderosa Campground offers the best prices, best accommodation and is the closet campground to the Avalon beach only 3-miles. We offer authentic air conditioned log wooden cabins with full bathrooms and single room cabins. Ponderosa cabins accommodate couples, families, groups and reunions in our cabin rentals. Our campground also accommodates tent sites with free cable, electric and water. Ponderosa offers a new heated pool that is adult and kid friendly. The pool allows the kids to play in the water jets, while the adults can relax in the deep end of the pool.

Imaginations come alive as the children play on the pirate ship boat. Friends and memories are made as the children play basketball, or talk and swing on the swing set. Families relax and reminisce about their day at the Jersey Shore over a campfire. Ponderosa Campground offers two clean bathhouses with FREE hot showers, with a touch of seashore decor. For your convenience we do have a laundry facility, sell firewood, ice and have vending machines. At Ponderosa Campground our staff is friendly and will help make your vacation memorable and enjoyable.

Our office has many brochures providing directions and information about the many wonderful New Jersey Shore attractions. The Acme grocery store and Avalon coffee & bagel shop is only -mile from the Ponderosa Campground. The Cape May County Zoo and park is 1-mile away and the park has many bike paths. Just South of Ponderosa Campground is Stone Harbor beach and some wonderful shopping. The 50s DOO Wop in Wildwoods is only 15-minutes away from the Ponderosa Campground. The Wildwoods let the kid in everyone come alive with their famous Morey Pier amusement and water parks. The endless array of restaurants in Wildwood will appeal all appetites. Cape May is just south of Wildwood.

The historical town of Cape May is known for its Victorian homes that look over the beach. The Mid Atlantic Center offers plenty of tours of the stunning Victorian town which all ages can enjoy. The Washington street mall in Cape May offers unique boutique shops and array of restaurants. Sunset beach, in West Cape May is known for the breathtaking sunsets and the famous Cape May lighthouse. Just North of the Ponderosa Campground less than 1-mile away is the famous Lemmings Run Gardens, several antique shops and woodland village shops that offers many unique shops.

Sea Isle City beach is located 7-miles from the Ponderosa Campground and also has many shops and restaurants. Just north of Sea Isle City, families with enjoy the Ocean city beach and family friendly boardwalk. Atlantic City offers numerous Casinos, including The Borgata, Trump and Caesar just to name a few. The casinos are known for gambling, fine dining restaurants and dazzling shows. The Walk of Atlantic City has name brand outlets with great bargains. Atlantic City Steel Pier has amusement rides on the Atlantic city boardwalk overlooking the beach.
